The small icon that appears in the tab bar of your web browser when you visit a site, or in your bookmarks when you save the site to them.
Google’s favicon is visible here: the circular “G” in the tab bar. “Favicon” is short for “favourites icon”. There are various pronunciations, none of which is right or wrong: “fave-icon”, “favv-icon”, “fave-eecon”, “favv-eecon”, etc.
