countering the confusion of consumer packaged goods

gondola end

A big display unit, usually multi-shelved and made of card, displayed at the end of a supermarket aisle.

Brands have to pay for the space, and gondola ends are among the most expensive in-store units to buy, so they tend to be the domain of big multinationals. Coca-Cola use them a lot for on-pack promotions.
