responsive design

A website is responsive when it changes its layout depending on the size of the screen being used to view it. This allows it to work on all screen sizes, from the smallest mobile phones to the largest desktop computers and everything in-between.

You can see whether a website is responsive by resizing the size of your web browser and seeing whether the layout remains fixed or whether it changes.

Responsive design has been the norm for websites since the mid-2010s.
