A site building tool allows non-technical people to build a website. Generally these are hosted services that allow you to create a website directly from your web browser, without installing any software or writing any code.

They can be a great (and very cost-effective) way to get a simple site up and running, but generally aren’t as scalable as a site’s content grows in complexity and generally don’t offer the same level of design polish as bespoke websites.
